Dr Narayanan Janakiram, is the managing director and consultant of Royal Pearl Hospital, Third Cross, Thillai Nagar, Trichy, Tamil Nadu. His educational degrees of D.L.O (1992-94) and M.S. ENT ( 1995-1998) were earned at the prestigious Madras Medical College, Tamil Nadu. During his academic career in an otorhinolaryngology course, he was honoured with the ‘BEST M.S. STUDENT AWARD’ in 1998. Inspirited by pioneers, he is committed to providing credit-worthy education in sinus and skull base surgeries in over 40 countries with the integration of advanced multimedia technology live procedures, orations, lectures and web telecasts. His goal as training chief of Neuro endoscopy, Asia Pacific is to improve patient care globally.
 Royal Pearl Hospital has held over 1500 free camps around Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad to help the government realise its objective of providing health care to the underprivileged and rural population. His dedication to pursuing public service extended to providing cochlear implant surgeries for congenital deaf children under the Chief Minister Cochlear Implant Scheme.   His dedicated work for the people of Tamil Nadu State was acknowledged and awarded the ‘Best Practising Doctor Award’ by ‘CHIEF MINISTER TAMIL NADU in 2010, 2014 and 2024.   He was honoured to represent India in the field of endoscopic advanced skull base surgeries and otorhinolaryngology globally at national and international conferences. His contribution is pioneering research on new concepts, classification and improved techniques in the management of a challenging tumor - JNA. His most academic work is published in an exclusive JNA book, chapters in neurosurgery books of eminent authors and a dedicated illustrated book on skull base surgery by reputed Thieme publications. He has published his own exclusive surgical techniques and evidence-based work in peer-reviewed Journals and chapters in several national and international books. His surgical expertise and knowledge in Rhinology was acknowledged and has been a Visiting Operating Consultant in Maldives, Colombo, Egypt, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Germany, Philippines, Vietnam and Kuwait. He has been bestowed with the honour of THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS AWARD PROF STAMMBERGER AWARD ‘Best Teacher in Rhinology in the World’ by the 17th Annual Meeting of the Middle East Academy of Otolaryngology, Dubai on 17th March 2022. The hospital Was engaged in an untiring and ceaseless endeavour to serve the people of Tamil Nadu, Telangana Andhra Pradesh and India, especially during the Covid associated black fungus epidemic, by providing them the most modern amenities, in the field of medicare as per international standards. During COVID-associated Mucormycosis, 400 patients, both covid positive and negative, received rapid medical attention and surgical intervention, which helped to save many lives.
